What better an anniversary gift to give someone with a passion for henna design? This custom pendant is actually a replica of one of the wearer’s proudest works – a design she drew onto herself, and pulled from a home photo.

The inspiration picture snapped at home

With the client’s photo uploaded to their custom design blog, our designer, apprentice jeweler and CAD artist extraordinaire, Jenessa, was able to quickly visually conceptualize how a piece like this could work – and all in time for to be a big surprise at the anniversary dinner.

To help out with the depth and intricacy of the pattern, Tomas worked out a virtual rendering that allowed for a wax mold to be prototyped.

From photo to finish, a replica of her hand was forged in 14K white gold, and adorned with 5 round-cut rubies. Harry, Green Lake’s go-to engraver, cleaned up the lines, adding crisp detail and a special inscription for the client, celebrating all those years together.
